We are proud to be a fourth-generation, locally owned and operated business.

What remains today, is part of a deep-rooted history and strong values that started Schepers Agency.

It all began in 1917, when Great Grandpa Joe Schepers was working at the McBain State Bank and formed a friendship and professional relationship with Vern Valentine Moulten.  Mr. Moulten was founder and first President of Auto-Owners Insurance Company.  Schepers Agency was amongst the first to instate a contract with Auto-Owners and for over 100 years, continues to represent them today, along with other fine strong companies.  In 1947, Joe’s son, Ray Schepers returned from serving in World War II and took over the Agency.  After 45 years, he passed on his legacy to his son Don Schepers who was at the Agency for 42 years.  When Don was ready to retire, his nephew, Chris Petrimoulx became the newest President/Owner of Schepers Agency. Chris is the son of Don’s sister, Mary (Schepers) Petrimoulx.

Today, the Agency is home to several employees who are an integral part of the success of the business and who take pride in providing top notch customer service.  Schepers Agency has a policy of treating its customers how they want to be treated.  And it shows.

While taking pride in their heritage, Schepers Agency has also through the years been diligent in staying on top of evolving with today’s fast and ever-changing needs; Keeping ahead of times, with updated technology, expanding the solid companies represented and also adding financial planning to its portfolio of customer service options.

The values that Great Grandpa Joe started Schepers Agency with, are apparent still today.  Focus on personal and prompt customer service and giving back to the communities we live, work and play in, started this Agency and will continue to be part of the Schepers Agency commitment.
